The C55D5e 50kVA diesel generator is fully ISP 8528 certified, and bears only the best branded components. These include both a genuine Cummins 4BT3.3G13 1500RPM diesel power plant, a 4-pole Stamford alternator and a high spec electronic governor and the Cummins Power Command 1.1 remote start control system.
Like every diesel gen-set we sell, this 50 kVA diesel generator benefits from an excellent long-term warranty.
Diesel generators are the newest, and most efficient ways to get power on-site. With ongoing troubles and rising demands, fuel prices are rising. In the economical environment we live in, we need cost-effective options. Even though fuel costs a little bit more per litre than petrol, there is much more power per litre of diesel in comparison. With the increased efficiency of the diesel engine, you get a lot more electrical power per pound, which is what really matters.
A 50kVA diesel generator like the model C55D5e is the power supply chosen by many if our clients because it has the ability to supply a generous amount of power. These diesel generators are quiet and reliable in a very large range of applications. When you rig it up as a primary source of power supply, it is able to provide a full 50 kVA, or a reliable 55 KVA of back-up power.
If you want to use the C55D5e as a back-up power option, all you have to do is pair it with a compatible Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). The generator has built-in mains monitoring capacity, then comes to the fore, which makes it a fully automated power source that cannot be interrupted.

How do these work?
Diesel engines are designed to use diesel fuel, but what is so different about a diesel gen-set option, and what matters about that? Unlike petrol, diesel engines rely on compression alone for ignition. The air is compressed to reach a much higher degree than it would in a petrol engine. Even the lowest performing diesel engines work at a 14:1 compression (the highest in petrol is 12:1 at best), and the best diesel generators and gen-sets rely on compression ratios that reach up to 25:1. As the air is compressed, the temperature rises until the diesel fuel is injected. The fuel then ignites spontaneously from the heat and pressure (which is much more efficient).
Why are they better?
At the end of the day, these options are more reliable and cost effective. Today’s diesel generators are quiet and cost less to maintain than their petrol counterparts. Along with that, they are durable and much more reliable. With the elimination of electrical ignition systems, there is a lower probability that something will go wrong, and it runs longer. The cost per kW with a diesel generator is around 30% to 50% less than with a petrol gen-set. Since petrol gen-sets have a much higher operating temperature, diesel generators, which run lower, last substantially longer.
Diesel powered electrical generators (or gen-sets) have a long list of industrial, commercial, military, and even maritime applications. They are great for smaller, low kVA loads like someone’s home, and can also be scaled up to power entire factories, commercial complexes, cruise ships, and small towns. They are great a both primary power sources and emergency or portable back-up power options. With these generators, you are likely to be able to meet all of your power needs without spending too much money and breaking the bank.
