Legal Silent Generator
The legal office based north of the border has recently experienced a loss of power at a critical moment for this legal company. Just as they were faxing over documents to complete a property sale. The power from the mains dropped and left the company in limbo untill the electricity came back on. In the end the sale fell through and this cost the company alot in time and money. They quickly decided that this could not and would not happen to them again and a backup power solution was essenbtial to them and the survival of the company.
The client contacted us to let us know about their power problem and told us they were looking for a diesel generator for sale uk, they had heard of brands such as Perkins generators and Cummins generators, but we spent a small amount of time explaining the different genset brand options. We let the Scottish legal company know that the best legal generator option for them would be either a Pramac generator with a Perkins engine or a Cummins Power Generation gen-set.
Next we asked the law firm about their power requirements. The most obvious question, was how much power do you require. Unfortunatly they did no thave this information to hand. We talked them though the process of deciding which devices they considered as essential if the power dropped from the mains again.
Once we had a list of computer, fax, lighting, heating and other essential electrical equipment and they devices they needed to power in the event of a power outage, we wer able to begin suggesting suitable diesel generator solutions.
As the diesel generator would be placed at the back of the business it would be close to other business buildings so it was iomportant that this generator made limited noise and did not disturb the other local Glasgow businesses. So now we knew that we were looking for a 30 kVA backup power silent diesel generator.
Next we asked the law fiem to take a look at the Diesel Generator Direct website, on here we have a page dedicated to 30 kVA generators and the customer could see the options and prices. We suggested that they choose between either a C38D5 which is a 35kVA generator when used in prime mode by Cummins, it comes fitted with a close fit canopy which will keep the noise levels to a minimum. When the C38D5 is used for backup applications the gen-sets can produce 38kVA of power, this gave the legal company some headrooom for more devices if they needed to expand in the future.
Our other suggestion was the GSW45p generator from Pramac generators, very similar in spec to the Cummins 45kVA genset. Both offer 35kVA of power in prime mode and 38kVA when used for standby applications. It's also a silent diesel generator, but not priced as competititvly as the Cummins set. In the end the client decided to go for the Cummins Power generation 30kVA diesel generator.
We organised the delivery and the gen-set was delivered to the client in Galsgow the very next day.
